Customer Service and Sales Associate

The Customer Service and Sales Associate is a vital role as the first point of contact for new and existing customers.

This person will be answering calls from new and existing customers, answering questions in a professional manner, and transferring calls to the appropriate staff member when needed. During a typical call, the employee will follow a straightforward call script, while entering data into our customer database, and creating proposals and invoicing customers within our customer database program (Serviceminder). This employee will also track accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.

This position can involve cross training in other areas such as Office Administration, Customer Sciences, Human Resources, Marketing, Computer Sciences/IT/Digital Marketing, and more if you are interested in developing any of those areas of your career!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Execute sales and follow up with potential and current customers, based on company call script, and scheduling tasks in the Serviceminder Program when a follow up is required to complete a sale.

• Use Serviceminder and other research tools to estimate yard sizes and prepare customer quotes.
• Answer phones and assist current and potential customers with questions or concerns.
• Generate and send out invoices in our Serviceminder program
• Carry out word processing, filing, mailings, as required.
• Use the Serviceminder Program to track tasks, new customers, leads and opportunities.
• Respond promptly to company emails and messages.
• Work closely with other sales staff & operations team leader to accurately schedule, route, and bill customers.
• Assist with events such as Musky Fest Parade and Home Show participation.
• Help with mailing, printing, and assembly needs.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Prior experience in phone sales and customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to type proficiently and with high accuracy, and proficient computer knowledge and skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office programs including Microsoft Word.
• Ability to learn new programs and software quickly and proficiently.
• Reliable transportation.
• Organization skills and attention to detail.

Hours and availability needed for this position:

• This is a full-time, seasonal position, through the end of summer.
• Customer Service Representatives will be scheduled 8-hours a day, Monday through Friday. Exact hours will vary and are based on call volume and customer needs throughout the season.
• This is an in-office position, we work together as a team to meet our customers’ needs!
• Job candidate must be available to start training by the start of May.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
